Making Clinical Hours Personally & Professionally Meaningful
If you are a graduate student in psychology (or related discipline) completing practicum or internship work, you are likely required by your university to keep track of your fieldwork hours and activities. On the surface this may feel like busy work. For example, a school psychology intern I supervised jokingly asked me whether or not the time she spent logging her hours could be counted as hours.
In a series of four blog posts, I have been asked by the developers of Time2Track to reflect on how students can meaningfully incorporate the tracking of hours and activities during field experiences. In each post, I will highlight one of four big ideas integrated in my forthcoming book, Demystifying the School Psychology Internship: A Dynamic Guide for Interns and Supervisors (New York: Routledge).

- Individual Supervision – Licensed Psychologist
- Individual Supervision – Licensed Allied Mental Health Professional
- Individual Supervision – Other (eg. peer to peer)
- Group Supervision – Licensed Psychologist
- Group Supervision – Licensed Allied Mental Health Professional
- Group Supervision – Other (eg. peer to peer)

Charleston, SC – April 2, 2012: Time2Track, the number one time-tracking solution for psychology graduate students and programs, has unveiled a new version, which is already garnering praise from Time2Track’s thousands of satisfied clients.
“I’ve used Time2Track for two years to manage my training hours, keep track of assessments I’ve used, and much more,” said Taniesh Amon, M.A., a clinical psychology doctoral student at Argosy University in Washington, D.C. “The new Time2Track is incredibly user-friendly, it makes it so easy to track my training hours. The improvements just make it more efficient,” he said. Taniesh also lauded the tracking tool’s alignment with the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) internship matching application.
Time2Track, which is the preferred time-tracking solution for hundreds of universities in North America, has included dozens of enhancements in its new version. Improvements include the ability to classify supervision activities by the supervisor level, an easy group creation function, customizable practicum locations, and a simple auto-complete assessment finder.
