Chelsea Graziano is a fourth year PsyD student at Marywood University. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Science from The Commonwealth Medical College. Her training and research interests include substance abuse treatment, forensic psychology, and adolescent risk behaviors. Furthermore, she has been a practicum student in a variety of settings including Marywood University Counseling/Student Development Center, Marywood Psychological Services Center, Pennsylvania Forensic Associates, Marworth Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center, and the Mental Health Court of Lackawanna County. Upcoming placements include First Hospital and the Federal Bureau of Prisons USP Caanan.

No training program can offer a student all possible training opportunities before they leave the safety net of supervision and embark on their own journey as a psychologist.
Sometimes, if your program will allow, it is necessary to seek experiences outside of current academic affiliations. As a fourth year PsyD student in a not-so-big city, I had to think outside of the box in order to gain all of the specialized knowledge that I thought would help me as I begin to look toward internship.
