Ilana is currently a 4th year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at the University of Arkansas. She earned her Bachelor’s at the University of Delaware (2011). She has worked to implement a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program for youth and caregivers in Delaware and conducted research on children’s exposure to violence via home visits with families with young children in her hometown of Philadelphia. Ilana has provided individual and/or group therapy services across Northwest Arkansas at a family shelter for survivors of domestic violence, a juvenile detention center, a minimum security women’s prison, and continues to work at the campus psychological clinic. She is passionate about working with under-served populations: delivering and evaluating evidence-based treatments to individuals and families affected by traumatic experiences. She is also a dedicated pet mom to her cat and dog and regularly practices acro yoga.

But most of us would also like to enjoy a life outside of our professional career. So when there are multiple deadlines, projects without firm deadlines, and not always a clear line between “working hours” and “personal time,” how do we balance our priorities?
